"Lasting Contribution" – animated ad for Tad Waddington's book

Here's a 60-second spot that I made (direction, animation and score) for the award-winning book, Lasting Contribution.

The author, Tad Waddington and I collaborated to create the scenario of our hero trying to find a way to make his life meaningful. In the book, Tad quotes a great variety of historical sources, so we paid homage to a few images from classical art. That's one reason why the squirrel's first pose is Rodin's Thinker, and in the end shot the statue is in an Atlas pose.

It was a pleasure working with Tad and his refreshing combination of humor and deep wisdom. It's also nice when part of researching a project is to read a good book and watch squirrels.

Cheers,
Paul

PS. Pick up the book on Amazon. It's short, pocket-sized and very inspiring.
